About Flag City Pizza
The Tripp family has a long and storied career in food service. Originally from central Michigan, Jerry has owned and operated several Arby's Roast Beef Restaurants, a Pancake and Waffle House, several Big Boy Restaurants, and several other food service operations including, gourmet hams, delicatessen, a sub shop and is currently the Catering Manager at the local Findlay Elks Club.
Oldest daughter, Kimberly worked in the Big Boy, Arby’s and pancake business, sons Timothy and Daniel slaved over the hot ovens at the gourmet ham store and were always around the Arby’s operations as youngsters. Son Peter did a lot of food service prep for the Red Strawberry deli operation in Dallas, Texas.
Daughter MariJane has a background in food service with Big Boy Restaurants, The Red Strawberry operation in Dallas, Texas and has completed her Associates Degree in Business at Owens Community College and will be continuing her education in the fall and /or winter semester. Additional studies at Bowling Green State University have prepared her for the challenge of the family business and expansion of her career to her world-wide aspirations. MariJane is heading up most of the local marketing efforts and has been instrumental in upgrading the Point of Sale registers to include customer databases and rewards programs.
Catherine recently graduated from Findlay High School and received her certificate in Culinary Arts from the Millstream Program. She will be attending Owens Community College in the fall of 2011.
